First Water Flight at Bishop Loch
A relaxed November flight at Bishop Loch on a partly cloudy autumn day, while I was still very new to drones and probably taking one over water for the first time.

On 7 November 2025, I took the drone out to Bishop Loch for a relaxed autumn flight. It was a partly cloudy day in November, and I was still very new to flying drones, so this was more about getting some time in the air than trying to do anything complicated.
I captured Bishop Loch from above and, looking back, this was probably the first time I had ever flown over water. That made it feel like a small step forward, even if it was just a straightforward flight.
Bishop Loch lies near Easterhouse in north-east Glasgow and is part of a wider area of wetland habitat. The loch itself is a Site of Special Scientific Interest, recognised for its freshwater and wetland features.
There was no big plan for this outing. It was simply a chance to fly, take in the view over the loch, and build a little more confidence with the drone.
